We combine the knowledge of artisan communities with the demands of the product, thus providing an opportunity for traditional skills to connect with customers worldwide.
It Started With the Hands Behind the Craft
“From Opportunity to Independence”Our journey began in 2020 when we saw skilled women artisans with valuable traditional knowledge but limited opportunities to turn that knowledge into a reliable source of income.
For many, the challenge was not a lack of ability. It was accessible.

We began by working directly with rural communities and creating opportunities for women to use their existing craft skills in structured production. Over time, training, practical guidance, better resources, and access to wider markets helped transform individual skills into meaningful work.
The stories of artisans such as Saraswati and Pooja remain an important part of this journey. Saraswati used the income she earned through her craft to support her children's education. Pooja, despite mobility challenges, developed her skills and went on to become a lead designer for our handcrafted bags.

Mr. M.L. Choudhary
Mr. M.L. Choudhary believes that every handmade product carries the skill, time, and experience of the person who created it.
For him, Suryanagri Craft is about more than developing products. It is about creating opportunities for artisans to use their skills, learn new techniques, take on greater responsibilities, and reach markets beyond their local communities.
He believes that working closely with artisans on craftsmanship, product development, quality, and production practices is essential to building lasting value. Every artisan deserves fair recognition and reward for the skill, time, and effort they bring to each product.
His vision for Suryanagri Craft is to build a business where traditional craftsmanship and modern markets grow together. By working with artisans with mutual respect and supporting responsible sourcing, he aims to create stronger and more sustainable livelihood opportunities while helping buyers discover authentic Indian craftsmanship with confidence.
He also believes that there must be a bond between the artisan who makes it, the developers, and the consumer who takes it into his life. By promoting these bonds and retaining traditional arts and crafts, Suryanagri Craft hopes to contribute to the survival of the traditional arts of Rajasthan for years to come.
